Refund Policy
Effective September 9, 2026. Binding. Read it.
GoBantr currently charges nothing to join the waitlist. This Refund Policy still exists so there is no ambiguity later, and so you cannot claim you were promised a paid product, a guarantee, or a chargeback-friendly digital good.
1. Waitlist is free
There is no waitlist fee. There is therefore nothing to refund for joining, remaining on, or being removed from the list. An invite has no cash value. We do not owe you the app, a launch date, or a feature because you joined.
2. Alpha and evaluation access
Private-alpha access, if granted, is evaluation software provided without warranty. It may be withdrawn. Lost local data, model refusals, bugs, and downtime are not refundable events because no purchase is required to participate in the alpha.
3. Future paid credits and subscriptions
If we later sell AI credits, subscriptions, or other digital features, the following rules apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- All prices are due in full at checkout unless we expressly say otherwise.
- Digital credits begin consumption when they are used to generate a reply, image, or other output. Consumed credits are not refundable.
- Subscriptions bill in advance. Unless a mandatory consumer law says otherwise, fees for a started billing period are not refundable.
- We do not refund because you dislike a personality, a model’s tone, a safety refusal, an outage at a model provider, or because Apple or Google removed a build.
- We do not refund because you lost your phone, forgot a passcode, uninstalled the app, or failed to export a backup.
4. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you initiate a chargeback, reversal, or payment dispute for amounts you authorized, we may terminate access immediately and contest the dispute with records of your use. Fraudulent disputes may be referred for collection or law enforcement.
5. Mandatory consumer rights
Some places give you non-waivable cancellation or refund rights for digital content, especially if we have not started performance or if we failed to disclose something the law requires. Those rights, if they apply to you, control over this policy. EU/UK consumers who lawfully withdraw from a distance contract before digital performance begins may be entitled to a refund of unused prepayments; once you ask us to start generating AI output, you request immediate performance.
6. App stores
Purchases made through Apple or Google are also subject to that store’s rules. Store fees they keep are not something we can return as cash outside their process. Request those refunds through the store if their policy allows it.
7. How to ask
If you believe a mandatory law requires a refund of an amount you actually paid us, write to legal@gobantr.com from the payment email, include the date, amount, and reason, and we will review. We may request identity verification. We are not obligated to refund amounts you did not pay us.
